Jon T. Howard: What's New

Working on a few last minute mix changes for my new CD called "Turning Stones". Kristen Anastasia has been working with me on the CD graphics and layout. All the photos were done for the "Turning Stones" CD cover and promo pics by an exceptional photographer named Magda Rod. Two new videos are in the can for the songs "Fruits Of Life" & "Fine Line" and the songs should be available soon for downloading via all major internet outlets like iTunes, Rhapsody & Amazon.

I have been writing & recording new songs lately. My good friend, guitar player, & engineer wiz Greg Krueger and I have been laying down the basic tracks for the songs I have written over the last few years. This is always my favorite time in the record making process when I begin to hear all my creative ideas come to life. It's funny how it all works because recording the songs already written seems to inspire more new songs along the way. I already have a couple of new favorites. We are just taking things as they come and getting as much down as possible and by the way things are sounding we have some great stuff to work with. I will keep you posted....... I am headed to my hometown of St. Charles, MO for a show on May 17th. at my favorite coffee house Picasso's. Most of my family will also be in town to celebrate the college & high school graduations of my cousins Elizabet & Isabelle...Congrats Ladies!!! I am really looking forward to seeing old friends and spending time with my family................. Peace & Happiness

I thought I would take a moment in between packing to write a quick Blog.... I head toward the East Coast today for some shows and radio promo. If you are in the Maryland area please check out my calender and come out for a show and say hello. It has been a busy summer of travel and new adventures....which I love. I love road trips and seeing new places. Beyond that I love to meet new people and tasting the great food of different cultures. I am currently booking some new tours so if you have a venue, festival or house concert you think I should play in your area let me know the details and I will set it up. Thanks to everyone who is supporting my music especially the Dj's who are playing my new Cd. Nothing feels better than to hear my songs on the radio...... If anyone has a radio station that you feel should be playing my music, let me know the city and the station and my team of professionals will make sure they get a copy.... I am out on the road... I played in Nashville last night and will be in my hometown St. Charles, MO. tonight. I am getting airplay all over the US right now which is great! Over half of the songs on "Time For Something New" have been played on various stations and radio formats ranging from Triple A to Americana to Pop. PLease call your local stations and request my music it really does help. Well I need to pack it up and hit the road for my drive to St. Louis..... See you on the road.....

I was in Louisville last week for the Triple A NonComm Convention for radio DJ's. I made a bunch of new friends and heard some incredible music. I even went to Churchhill downs and picked the winner for the final race of the day. Unfortunately I only bet $2 so my huge pay out was $5 but it felt great to win no matter what. Besides I had a Mint Julip and even got to keep the Kentucky Derby commemorative glass. What a deal. I look forward to seeing all of the dj's I met out on the road when I visit their cities. Just got back from 6 days in Nashville for the Americana Music Conference & Awards.. what a great time seeing old friends and making new ones....

Well after a few weeks recording my new album in New York and attending the World Folk Alliance....I am heading back to New York to wrap up my CD. I can't wait for you all to hear it.
